Balcony to Valencia apartment is a unique base for guests looking for something special during their time in the city. It has a great central location on top of Plaza de la Virgen with fabulous views of the nearby Square and Miguelete and 360º all around the city. It has an impressive outdoor terrace full of plants and sun. This special property allows guests to truly immerse themselves in the life of the city.
You will enter into the apartment straight to the open sitting room – fully equipped kitchen. From this area you will see Plaza de la Virgen and Navellos street. There is a door close to the kitchen that takes you to the terrace where you will spend hours and hours during the mornings in winter and during the afternoons in summer. From the terrace oriented to the East you will see the sea.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom (equipped with a 1.50m x 1.90m bed) has 2 walls of big windows facing the North-West of the city and mountains at the back. Bedroom 2 is equipped with 2 beds 90cm x 1.90m each. Situated on a pedestrian street means traffic noise is kept to an absolute minimum, ensuring a good night sleep
Balcony to Valencia apartment is located in a pedestrian street that goes from the old river bend (a 10 km park from Parque de Cabecera to the sea) to Plaza de la Virgen and the Cathedral. But it is a busy street full of live and also full of restaurants, cafeterias and tapas bars.
Blacony to Valencia Apartment is located on top of Plaza de la Virgen. This site has been the historical and geographical hub of the city since the Romans first settled here and created the city “Valentia”. Due to the key location you will have the city at your feet with the major historical monuments all around you and getting around will be a cinch whether on foot or using public transport.
The neighbourhood in which his apartment is located is called”La Seu” and is at the old northern end of the historic centre known as “Ciutat Vella” in which most of the important historic monuments are, including the cathedral and basilica “La Virgen”, Serranos and Quart gates, Lonja silk exchange, Central Market, City Square, railway station and bull ring.
The local neighbourhood also provides you with countless options for eating out, with plenty of terraces to sit at and soak up the relaxed street ambience.
The district of Ciutat Vella is bordered by the riverbed of the Turia river, which in the present day has been converted into an enormous public park running the entire length of the riverbed. This big park is just at the end of Navellos street. Located within the riverbed at the coastal end is the City of Arts and Sciences. Best way of arriving there is a stroll along the Turia under the shade of the thousands of trees (approximately half an hour walk).
When visiting the excellent city beach, the best way to get there is to take the tram from the Pont de Fusta tram station on the other side of the Turia riverbed; alighting at Eugenia Viñes station (approximately 20 minute ride).
If you need a bus, you will find that many pass by the end of your street beside the Serranos Gate, including the number 95 which will take you to the City of Art and Sciences in approximately 20 minutes. Another place where you can connect to numerous bus routes is the Plaza de la Reina just on the South side of the cathedral.
Just few steps from the apartment, you will find you will find Plaza de la Virgen surrounded by restaurants and pubs, where you can enjoy a great meal made of Paella or tapas. In this square you will see the Basilica de la Virgen close to one of the gates of the Cathedral. The Town Hall square, the Central Market and La Lonja (UNESCO building) are at a 5 minutes’ walk from here.
Walking to the other side, you will find to the old river bend that crosses Valencia and is a 10 kilometer garden and bike way: you will find the Music Palace, the Gulliver (slides for children), The City of the Arts and the Sciences. Viveros Garden is just crossing the old river bend (lively music in summer and many events such as the book fair). Or you can take the number 32 bus and arrive to the Americas Cup Port and Malvarrosa beach in 20 minutes.
Miguel Angel and Laura bought this apartment 25 years ago when they married. They have been living here all this years. They usually had breakfast in winter in the terrace facing the sea and Laura takes good care of her plants in the terrace.
But now that their child goes to University they moved to a villa they own in the mountains where life is not so stressful than the city.
