LOCATION
El Perelló is a town by the sea, surrounded by La Albufera. It is 25 kilometers from Valencia and only 15 kilometers from Cullera. There is a direct public bus (number 25) that takes you from El Perelló to Valencia center in about half an hour.
In El Perelló there are several supermarkets, restaurants, Pharmacy and many small shops. If you come to El Perelló you must try the tomatoes from this area: it is a high-quality local product.
Valencia is reached by a road that crosses the Albufera Natural Park: a very special place. The Albufera is a freshwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea (El Saler beach) by an elongated forest and some white sand dunes called Dehesa de El Saler about 1 kilometer wide. This place is one of the few places in the world where you can see the sunrise and sunset from the same place on the water. La Albufera was named ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds) in 1986 and LIC (Site of Community Interest) because all kinds of birds that migrate from Northern Europe to Africa to spend the winter stop at La Albufera to rest.
