Mercadillos
One of the activities we most recommend is to visit the “Mercadillos”. They are markets assembled in the streets of many of the Spanish towns and villages once per week.
It is very traditional in the Mediterranean area because due to soft temperatures, even during the winter it is very pleasant to shop while walking in the streets.
In the Mercadillos you can find many products: fresh fruits and vegetable collected from close fields only some hours ago, typical Spanish products like olives prepared in thousands different ways, but also clothes, shoes, custome jewellery, toys, etc.
In the Mercadillos, it is quite common to bargain with the market stall owner in a friendly way to get a better price. You can do it!
Usually, you can find information about the place and time of the mercadillo in the website of the corresponding town or village or you can also ask to us.
