Myriam V, Belgium, November 2016 Testimonials - Heaven on earth
I really liked the apartment, especially the fantastic terrasses. The living room was a bit small, but ok, since the weather was really beautiful. It took us quite a while - a bit too long to be comfortable, after a long journey from Belgium by train, plane... - to reach the apartment, taking the metro and then the bus, so if we had to do it again, we would definitely take a taxi from the airport to the apartment. We were 5, so the metro + bus already cost us more than half the price of a taxi. Also, arriving on a Sunday and being 'invierno', we really had a hard time finding food. The local supermarket was closed on Sunday and so was the local restaurant. We had to take the 2 bikes - the tires were +/- flat! - and ride to El Saler to find a supermarket that was still open, luckily. On Monday the little supermarket was open again, but then they closed for 4 months because the season was over. A tip for you would be to tell people beforehand, that they have to organize their shopping when they come in the low season. In general the apartment had everything we needed, so that was very good ! The only thing that was really not ok was that the kitchen and the table in the living room was not clean at all. Everything was very greasy, even the cutlery, most of the cooking pots and pans, ... in the kitchen cupboards as well as the working top. Luckily there were enough products so we could clean it ourselves. The bathroom and the rest of the apartment was ok. When we arrived we saw that the swimming pool was unaccessible. It was closed because it was too cold. We adore swimming and are used to swimming in 'cold' water in Belgium, so we were a bit disappointed. When I saw the maintenance man cleaning the swimming pool - a very friendly Columbian - I told him and he showed me how to open the little gate, so we have been able to enjoy swimming, so that was a plus! Overall it was a good experience and I was very happy with your quick response every time I sent you an e-mail. Sorry again about me forgetting to pay the rent on Sunday. I'm happy we've been able to set it right immediately by transfer. Many thanks to Daniel too, who interrupted a family get together to come and help us out with the apartment on Sunday. Kind regards Myriam P.S. / Sorry I'm writing this e-mail to you in English, it's still easier to give all these details in English than in Spanish, although I enjoyed speaking Spanish a lot again ;).
