As Jose, the property manager, open the shutters of the living room we were made breathless by the surprise of being right on the white, long beach on the shimmering Mediterranean. The apartment was perfectly clean, very well equipped with everything that one could need, including towels and linen. From the apartment it is only a few steps to the beach and to the warm sea. Later in the afternoon it is refreshing to swim in the large pool adjacent to the property. Within 10 minutes walk is a fabulous 'Arrozeria' preparing delicious paella and local foods. There are 2 others in walking distance. Also in walking distance is a small but well-stocked supermarket which is inexpensive. As well as the beach it is interesting to explore the Albufera, the large Nature Reserve which is just across the road from the apartment. From the car park near the lake one could watch sunset, or take a boat, go bird watching or visit the local villages that are in the rice fields. Each morning we would eat our breakfast on the balcony of the flat watching the sunrise. A 1Euro 50 bus ticket on the #25 took us into the heart of Valencia where we could explore the churches, museums and amazing architecture; walk the river park and enjoy the many bars and night-life. I would recommend this apartment at for anyone who enjoys a beach holiday with a nearby city for art and culture.
