If you have ever booked accommodation or even when buying a house, you will always expect the pictures to flatter the property at least a little. The Queen apartment, however, is the complete opposite to this and is even better than the pictures.
It has a typical uninspiring but secure external entrance, however, once inside even the communal area and lifts are impressive. The apartment itself really is out of this world. Spacious, with lovely fresh decoration and furniture in every room. it is equipped with everything you need for your stay. It is a very bright apartment with a large window in the lounge giving natural lighting during the day where we enjoyed breakfast whilst watching the neighbourhood slowly come to life in the mornings. This apartment really is a bit special and it will make you feel special too!
If you prefer to go out for breakfast, there is no better way to start a day than with an excellent coffee and savoury (or sweet) croissant whilst enjoying the early morning sun and views at the PANS restaurant on the esplanade.
This apartment is in what we felt was a wonderful residential neighbourhood with a multitude of small bars, restaurants and of course supermarkets. We loved discovering a new place to have a drink and some dinner each night and were never disappointed.
What we liked most about the neighbourhood is that it is not overrun by tourists and is still predominately occupied by local Spanish people, a lot of whom know very little or no English which just adds to the feeling of being totally immersed in the Spanish lifestyle. So if you want to practice some of you Spanish this is a place for you, if not, then don’t worry, you will get by easily enough with “hola”, “gracias” and “adios” combined with a bit of finger pointing, the locals will love you for at least making an effort.
Added to all this there are tram and bus stops very close by which will take you to the city much quicker and are more relaxing than by car as well as being a fraction of the price of typical parking once there. I’ll just say that driving in the city is an “experience"
