The apartment was very clean. Towels and bedding provided - they even provided beach towels, which was very handy. Washing machine in apartment, with space to hang washing outside - a wash done in late afternoon was dry by morning, which was good for the beach towels. The beach was just across the road from the apartment - it was a massive beach, so no worries about getting somewhere to lay down. Supermarket was a bit of a walk, but easy enough to find - with a few directions from the reception in the apartment building. Something for UK travellers to be aware of, not many locals speak English - so brush up on your Spanish. I got an iPhone app, which I used to translate a few useful phrases. Everyone was really patient, especially as they could see I was trying to speak the lingo. There is a small shop on site, and they sell water, etc - the girl who works there in the morning speaks English, and was really nice. Only a few bars/restaurants within a short walk - I would highly recommend the Birra & Blues restaurant (aka Spaghetti & Blues). They had the best beer, which they brew themselves on site. Getting into Valencia town centre is really easy on the bus, just ask the girl in the shop - but taxis are not too expensive
