We stayed at Julian House in July. Julian and his family are amazing people. Ana was wonderful and assisted us greatly during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and the food was excellent. They also have free internet access. The house itself is old but with all services and we stayed in a room downstairs in the basement, which was very comfortable. FYI, the housel is not far from the airport, there is a METRO in the airport and stop 200 meters from the house but on the other hand is walking distance away from Port of Spains beautiful parks and gardens, and the most important is in front of the beach, from you walk throw the door and you are touching he beach.
